That darn mac n cheese

I was doing great yesterday by managing my calories throughout the day. For dinner we had crab cakes and velveeta shells with cheese, but the shells ended up being around 350 calories for 1 serving, while two crab cakes were only around 250 calories. Had I payed attention to the label I would not have had mac n cheese for dinner.

Good day

Even though last week was a total disaster in terms of food, I am doing much better this week. I am paying attention to portion sizes and nutritional facts this time around. I honestly try avoiding mirrors because I am afraid of the truth, but I want to be able to look at mysself in the mirror and wear cute clothes so I am doing this. I have started shopping the outer aisles at the grocery, and I have noticed a huge cut in calories by doing this. Asan accountability for what I eat I am also recording the weight watchers points value for everything. Just making simple changes seems to help me. For instance today I had 1 cup cheerios and 1/2 cup of silk vanilla milk fo 3 pts, and a weight watchers lemon cake for snack-1 pt. i really want to thank all of my buddies on the site that have helped me stick with the plan and stay strong. I greatly appreciate your help.

My results for this week ended horribly because my failure to log on to buddy slim each day resulted in me not taking accountability for what I consumed. I know that I desperately need to wake up and take control and only I can do this. This week I am going to focus on recipes from the hungry girl book because that seemed to be working for me. I do have my husbands support on healthy eating, but as a stay at home mom I tend to eat more and be less physical.

My project this week is to find more active things to do around the house and focus on healthy eating.

Hungry Girl

I found a great recipe book, titled, Hungry Girl, and it has some great recipes in their. They are all low in fat, higher in protein. Today I tried the veggie pizza- an individual size was aroun 250 calories, and it is all home-made. The crust was made from rice chex cereal and oats grinded together with one egg and seasonings. Later I tried the onion rings, they were around 150 calories and the breading was made from the same thing as the pizza. We will see what great recipes I can try tomorrow.

Snowy Day

Well today is a snowy one, and I am stuck indoors. So far I have been able to control myself and not eat since I am not hungry yet. I am really putting in the effort today. Last night I did Pilates with bands for thirty minutes, it was difficult since I have not exercised in several months. I know that I am going to get out of this experience what I put into it, and no one else can do this for me.

Struggling with calorie cutting

I am having a difficult time cutting calories. I always think about food and can’t see, to stop grazing. I am trying to find some great indoor workouts to help shed pounds.
